When we reopened this year we made some changes, starting with phasing out tipping and introducing a 15% service charge to all orders.
The change allows our Crewmembers to earn a livable wage and benefits such as paid sick leave and time off. It's included in the price of your meal, and you will not be asked for a tip at checkout.
The discriminatory history of tipping is well reported. But last year also exposed how exceptionally unstable income is for food and beverage professionals. We rely on a model unlike anything our peers in other industries contend with, making basic things such as financial planning and saving especially difficult.
Our goal in making the change is to create a better workplace and one where we all have a little more financial stability. We think those are ideas everyone can get behind.

We are loving all of it. Sauce #5 is amazing. The smoked chicken and pulled pork are so tasty. We're all thrilled with our dinners.

One of the beefs and the Memphis sauce. Slaw and pickles were great! One meat was too salty and the beans weren't a hit.

We had the chicken, the brisket, collards, slaw and pickled vegetables and frankly, they were all awesome!! Something extra however about the taste balance between the fat in the brisket and vinegar in the slaw and the pickled veggies was remarkable!

The pulled pork and brisket were amazing and the garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans weren't so bad either. :)
