It all started with: Julie’s husband George, a native New Yorker, was craving Italian Ice- they set out to find it. They found some favorite spots in Brandon, Tampa and even St Pete. Fast forward a couple of years and their twin boys loved Italian Ice as much as them, but all the ones they loved were full of additives and artificial coloring! Julie and George began to notice that one of their sons had some pretty bad reactions to artificial food dyes. It also became harder to find a shop that stayed open for more than a year or two, until every place they loved was closed.
To satisfy their craving for the Italian Ice and still being able to provide the healthier option for her family, Julie decided to make her own Italian Ice. She takes it to a step further by using only natural ingredients, like delicious kale is the secret dye behind their Green Apple flavor (shhhh)! After years of making these healthy treats with her family, Julie is sharing these delicious and healthy snacks with YOU! So you too can enjoy a health-conscience, refreshing and delicious treat year round.
Today with 20 regular flavors and numerous other flavors available by request, Skoops Italian Ice is available to everyone in Tampa Bay and the surrounding areas. Skoops Italian Ice has participated in many large-scale events, including many Food Truck rallies such as Guinness Book of Records “World’s Largest Food truck Rally” and numerous concerts, shows and events. You might have seen us around!
We are so blessed to have found that our Italian Ice, with its all natural ingredients, attract customers looking for refreshment without any guilt. Our delicious frozen dessert is made with real fruit, without the use of any artificial sweetener, artificial food dyes, artificial flavoring and preservatives.
